H.Paddon with WRC2 Partial Program 2022
The New Zealander announced the news on Thursday by participating in rallies in Estonia, Finland and New Zealand at the wheel of a Hyundai i20N Rally2. Registered with WRC2, the former official driver of Hyundai has always maintained an association with the Korean manufacturer in his country, and his main partner is Hyundai New Zealand.
After this mini-program in 2022, the Hyundai driver is clearly aiming to compete in a full championship in 2023.
“There is a huge challenge ahead, but we are very proud to ride with our engineers, technicians and management as well as support Europe to make this unique campaign possible. This year will include select events for us to interest us, including Rally Estonia and Rally Finland, ahead of the full WRC2 campaign in 2023. Our 2022 campaign will also include the WRC New Zealand Rally of which Hyundai NZ is also a major partner. We have two amazing years ahead of us and we can’t wait to share that with you.” Hyundai driver commented.
New Zealand’s last WRC returns to the Wells Rally in 2019 with his fourth WRC2 Pro Championship at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta Rally2.
