Clermont smiles, the race continues, La Rochelle recovers… What to remember from the 19th day
The day was full of rugby. In addition to the Blues’ win over Scotland in the Six Nations, the 19th day of the Top 14 began on Saturday 26 February, with Clermont marching against Perpignan (52-12). Meanwhile, Racing continued its winning streak with a win over Custer (45-25), Lyon resumed against Red Lantern Biarritz (34-15) and Pau lost at home to La Rochelle (16-22). Later in the evening, Brive won at home at Toulon (17-10).
Series end: Claremont, finally!
The Clermontois family was smiling on Saturday. ASM ended a streak of four defeats in a row, all conceded, with an easy victory over the rookie Perpignan (52-12). Auvernatics have not won the Top 14 since 1 January (16-13 wins against Toulouse) and are back with five points from the play-offs.
The right process: La Rochelle reaches the top six
La Rochelle is back in the race for the final stages. The Maritimes won in Pau (22-16), and also signed his second success of the season away from home. This victory allowed Rochelle to take sixth place in the standings, at the expense of Toulouse, which receives the Girondin leader on Sunday.

Player: Toby Arnold, omnipresent and omnipotent
Leon can thank their New Zealand successor. Especially famous for Toby Arnold against Biarritz (victory 34-15). Double author (15, 42) and participated in two of Lyon’s three other trials. He stole the show from France international winger Noa Nakitashi, who was returning after a left knee injury kept him out for ten months.
Oh, Toby Arnold’s personal achievement in Lyon’s first audition! #lobo

Number: six in a row to race
After Clermont, Toulouse, Brive, Pau, Bordeaux, Racingmann largely won against Castres (45-25). They achieved their sixth consecutive success in the league, a performance not achieved since 2016, the year they won the Hauts-de-Seine club title.
Gesture: Brave drop to take cover
In an important match-preserving encounter between Brive and Toulon (11 and 12 respectively), the cabins captured the best of their evening rival (17-10). The meeting, which was very closed, only resulted in one audition. As Brivistes lead by four small points in the 77th minute, Enzo Hervé secured Corrèze’s victory thanks to a right-footed drop 35 meters from the poles.
And drop Enzo Hervé, who stamped the victory Brive! The fight for maintenance has been re-launched more than ever! #CABRCT pic.twitter.com/zfTKbQlUzj
