New Zealand will start using a certificate of vaccination

New Zealand, which continues to fight the Delta variant of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), has agreed to use a vaccination certificate.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has released a statement on the vaccination certificate, which will show that New Zealanders have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

Certification will be required at major events such as music festivals, Prime Minister Ardern said, adding:

“We will use vaccination certificates as a tool to reduce risks in an environment that is currently considered high risk.”

Ardern explained that from next month, New Zealanders will use a digital Covid-19 vaccination certificate with a QR code, which also stands for “vaccine passport.” He said:

“Please vaccinate now, summer is coming, so you need to get a full dose (double dose) of the vaccine. You need to vaccinate this month instead of December to get full protection and do whatever you want.”

Moreover, the Prime Minister, who reported that he would soon issue a more detailed statement on the operation of the new app, said that they do not intend to use vaccination certificates in places such as health services and supermarkets.
