6 NATIONS WOMEN – Irish players replace white with blue! Due to concerns about the period, the Irish decided to play in navy blue shorts. Wish fulfilled thanks to New Zealand equipment manufacturer Canterbury and the Irish Confederation.
The Irish will now wear navy blue shorts from the start of the Women’s Six Nations Championship which begins on March 25. A not inconsiderable decision because the Irish players have expressed their desire not to wear the traditional white shorts due to the inconvenience that occurs during menstruation.
