Damp underfoot and overhead conditions in the form of continuous drizzle did not deter an enthusiastic Waimate Racing Club committee as they staged their first race meeting since the ‘big blow’ of 2013. Waimate has a racing community that is typical and reflective of so many in rural New Zealand.
