Even though she never won a Group One race, there can be little doubt that the Lisa Latta-trained DIJON BLEU richly deserved the accolade of 2017-2018 New Zealand Bloodstock Filly of the Year and only Savvy Coup is in any position to argue about the honour. Dijon Bleu made her debut over 1100 metres on her home track of Awapuni when she quickly speared to the lead to hold off the attentions of her stablemate Dreams Of Platinum by a nose, with subsequent Matamata Breeders’ Stakes winner …
