AUSTRALIAN OAKS The Randwick fillies’ classic has not been a good race for the favourites. Since 2000, only three of them have been successful, most recently Serenade Rose in 2006. The traditional lead-up is the 2000-metre Vinery Stud Stakes two weeks earlier, but only two fillies since 2000 have done the double – Serenade Rose (2006) and Heavenly Glow (2008).
