The sage advice of Hall of Fame trainer Murray Baker proved crucial in the career-high win by Tomelilla in Saturday’s Listed ICL Rotorua Stakes. Only days before the fillies and mares’ feature, Tomelilla would have gone up for auction at the Karaka May Sale but for Baker talking co-owner Greg Jones into retaining the daughter of Tavistock.
