It's all coming together for the June feature; Peter Moody will be on course, a raft of Aussie horses are expected, and two mixed sales will compliment the week. The track at Cambridge Raceway was dug up on Monday night, part of a three-day overhaul of the racing surface. It is the first time the track has been re-laid since it was redesigned by Dan Coon in 1996, shortly before the closure of Claudelands in Hamilton.
