Group One winner Heroic Valour will take up stud duties in Queensland this spring.

Heroic Valour has been signed by Queensland’s Raheen Stud for 2018.

Trained by Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards, the son of Fastnet Rock was unbeaten as a two-year-old including victory in the Gr. 1 Diamond Stakes and the Listed Reid & Harrison Slipper.

The following season he added the Listed Northland Breeders’ Stakes to his record and finished third in the Gr. 1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas.

A half-brother to the Gr. 1 Doncaster Handicap winner Triple Honour, Heroic Valour was bought at Karaka in 2015 by Te Akau principal David Ellis for $400,000 out of Curraghmore’s draft.

He will stand his first season at Raheen at A$7,700.
