Westbury Stud shuttle stallion Reliable Man sired his first stakes winner when unbeaten filly Narella claimed the Gr. 3 Steinhoff Zukunftsrennen at Baden Baden in Germany overnight.

The Markus Klug-trained two-year-old had scored with ease in her only previous start, and the step up to black-type level proved to be no hardship as she scored a comfortable two-length win.

According to Arion Pedigrees statistics, Gr. 1 Prix du Jockey Club and Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Reliable Man has now sired three winners worldwide.

Belle du Nord also placed at Group One level in the Manawatu Sires’ Produce Stakes at Awapuni earlier this year, while Sully recently became his first Australian winner.

Reliable Man stands at Westbury Stud for a fee of $17,500.
