Group performer Brighton has gone for a break.

“He went out after the Easter, he doesn’t really like wet tracks, and we’ll have him back for the spring,” trainer Nigel Tiley said.

Brighton was a last-start second behind his stablemate Megablast in the Gr. 2 Easter Handicap.

Tiley said he had also turned out Makdanife, who won for the third time in his career earlier this month at Pukekohe Park.
