Strapping juvenile Wisdom Patch has earned himself an outing in black-type company.
The son of Snitzel produced a dominant front-running performance to win today’s Baker Racing 1100 at Matamata, with next month’s Listed Reid & Harrison Slipper now a target.
“It was quite a good effort today after he did as much work as he did early, and he really kicked well,” said Andrew Scott, who trains the two-year-old with Lance O’Sullivan. “He’s a lovely, big colt. He’s 16.3 hands, so it’s all in front of him.”
Wisdom Patch was ridden aggressively early by Jake Bayliss to lead and they kicked clear 200 metres from home to score comfortably from Imelda Mary.
