Gallops took place on the course proper (Good 3 > Dead 4) with the markers in the true position.  Trackwork was held under stormy conditions, with thunder and lightning providing a dramatic backdrop. Time honours for the morning went to the Allan Sharrock-trained duo of Tellyawhat and Malo Bik who were flying, and recorded a time of 35.4 for the last 600m.
